St. Georges Claims Fall Hitting League Championship!
Congratulations to the Hawks of St. Georges on winning the Fall 2012 Thunder Stix
hitting league. The Hawks, made up of Hailey Powers, Sarah Coyne, Lexi Baughman
and Katie Sterling, narrowly edged the Padua squad by 220 points. St. Georges was
led by Powers who set a Hitting League record of 890 points in week 3.
The individual title went to A.I. duPont's Becca Outten who won that honor for the 2nd season
in a row. Outten edged out Powers by 170 points to capture the fall honors. For the 3rd straight
season Padua's Olivia Ellis finished in the top 5. Ellis who won the very first Hitting League
title as an 8th grader finished with 2230 points, 10 behind Powers.
