Coach Tom. I am originally from Philadelphia, Pa. but I now live in Newark, De. My passion for baseball began as a small child and continued to grow throughout my adulthood. In 1989 I graduated from University City High School of Philadelphia, Pa. and accepted a full scholarship to play for Essex Community College in Baltimore, Md. From there I was recruited to play in Daytona Beach Fla. for Bethune-Cookman University. I was then drafted in 1991 to play for the Cardinals, in St. Joseph, Mo. then traded to the Phillies in Martinsville, Va in 1993. Recently I have helped as one of the assistant coaches for both Caravel Academy and the Delaware Warriors Baseball teams. I am also the founder and manager of the McGlawn Mavericks, a 14u travel baseball team. This reignited my desire to get back into the game of baseball. My mission is to share and educate young boys and girls who desire to learn this wonderful game of baseball. My specialty is in the areas of hitting, bunting, pitching, catching and fielding. I can also assist your athlete with strength training and base running. I am excited to be given the opportunity to share the gifts and talents that I feel God has given to me. I count it an honor to work with you and your children. Call 302-384-6589 to schedule a Hitting or Pitching lesson with Coach Tom |

A Note From A Player
I'm a serious softball player who recently committed to play at the University of Delaware this
fall. During a showcase at the Delaware Invitational over the
summer, I was in a funk with my batting and needed a tweak . Being
from NY and not knowing the area, I "googled" batting cages in
Wilmington" and found Thunder Stix. When we arrived at the facility,
I was impressed with the quality of the cages and pitching
machines. Rob took me under his wing and for 2 hours worked the
kinks out till I got my groove back. He is an awesome instructor
and a wonderful person. My confidence came back and I batted over
.600 for the weekend. He made it a point of coming to watch me play
in a few of my games. Since committing to UD , I have made a few
trips to visit the University, I always make it a point to stop and visit Rob. I will always remember his kindness. Since I will only be
a half an hour away, I certainly will take bp at Thunder Stix in my
spare time!!
Thanks again Rob, my home batting coach is jealous!
Sincerely,
Mary O'Reilly
